After weeks of speculation and just four days before Square's analysts' meeting on the 22nd, the first screenshots and details of the sequel to Final Fantasy X have surfaced. We saw the first images from the game durig the Tokyo Game Show but Square made us thake it down.

The game is combining the Yuna and Rikku scenarios, rather than having two versions. Square has added new environments.

Machina is re-introduced in Final Fantasy X-2. This means that a whole lot of machines, including transportation mediums, mechanical enemies and high-tech cities will be present in the game.

As a first in the series, the actual environments are now changing, requiring the player to jump across gaps, for instance. Just like on the poster shown at this year's Tokyo Game Show, Yuna's outfit also has changed drastically, and she now uses two guns.

The game is still an RPG despite the "Lara Croft Look" of yuna. The game will be released on the PlayStation2 sometime in march 2003.
