Squaresoft confirmed today that Final Fantasy X-2 will be released in North America for the PlayStation 2. FFX-2 is the first game to be a direct sequel to a Final Fantasy game. The game is also the first FF game to have an all star female cast. This game is expected to become the hottest game of the year in Japan when it releases there on March 13, 2003.
New information about the game is as follows: There will be a Job Wheel System which was first shown to us in the original Final Fantasy Tactics. One of the newest job classes is titled 'Pop Star'.
A US release date for Final Fantasy X-2 is yet to be given. We should expect that fairly soon.
