Koda Kumi sings and dances for Squaresoft
Final Fantasy games since FF8 have had theme songs that have wowed gamers all around the world. Final Fantasy X-2 will hold two main theme songs titled "1000 No Kotoba" (translation "1000 words") and another song titled "emotion". Both songs will be sung by Japanese artist Koda Kumi.
At what point the two tracks will be played in the game is yet to be known, but it is assumed that "emotion" will be the more frequently used track of the two. The songs both fall into the category of J-Pop. The track "emotion" was produced completely by Koda, making it similar to what Utadu Hikaru did in Kingdom Hearts.
For the track "emotion", the lyrics are being written by KennKato and the music being composed by Hiroo Yamaguchi.
For the track "1000 NO Kobota" the lyrics are being written by Kazushige Nojima, and the music being composed by Takahito Eguchi & Noriko Matsueda.
According to various sources, the songs will be sung in the perspective of Paine. Also, there are rumours that there will actually be dance sequences of Paine in the game that will correspond with the two songs. Koda Kumi will also dance for Paine through the use of motion capture. This will definitely be another first for a Final Fantasy game.
