Final Fantasy VIII is now on Steam, with some decent visual enhancements. It still uses the same assets, but it's rendered at a much higher resolution now, meaning no more of those jagged edges that basically defined this game on PSX. It also has a cheat option, like the Steam version of FFVII did, in the form of receiving 100 of a bunch of spells whenever you want.

Caution: the game uses terrible MIDI music. There's a way to replace it with proper .oggs, though.

The next big content update to Final Fantasy XIV is coming to Eorzea on February 23, 2016. Patch 3.2, “The Gears of Change” will bring plot advancements and the all new Antitower dungeon.
