Drakengard director Taro Yoko (also known for directing Nier) recently told a fan on Twitter that he would like to release the next game in the series on the PlayStation 4. There's just one problem. The team doesn't have the money required to start developing games for the PlayStation 4.
@DragonKiddo1 Thank you for your message. I hope to make the game for PS4 but I can't have enough money for development. :( Taro Yoko
Several fans suggested that they should start a Kickstarter campaign, to which he replied that they would be unable to do so as Square Enix owns the rights to the IP.
@pablosamo13 I can't use kickstarter. Because Drakengard is SquareEnix's IP. But thanks anyway. :) Taro Yoko
Drakengard 3 was released for the PlayStation 3 on December 19th in Japan and has sold over 100,000 copies so far. The game is coming to North America and Europe sometime this year. Lets hope it does well and that he gets the money required to develop a PlayStation 4 game.

I haven't played any of them. Are they any good?
I have both PS2 titles and they are pretty good in my opinion. Think hack-n-slash battle system ala Dynasty Warriors with RPG elements. And you can switch between land and air (dragon) combat on the fly.
