IO Interactive working on next-gen Hitman game

There has been a rumours floating around lately that the next Hitman game had been cancelled. This was all put to rest yesterday as Square Enix announced that their subsidiary, IO Interactive, is currently working on a new game in the Hitman series for PC and next-gen consoles while Square Enix Montreal will be developing mobile games related to the franchise.

Io-Interactive is developing a new, AAA Hitman game that will be coming to PC and next-gen consoles and Square Enix Montreal is fully focused on mobile development of games some of which are related to the Hitman franchise. We look forward to sharing more details about these titles later this year. Square Enix

Awesome. There was a rumor that Square Enix Montreal was making the game. I'm glad that it turned out to be IO.
