FFXIV Voice Actor Found Dead

Tragic news in the Final Fantasy XIV community: the bodies of Sian Blake and her two young children, ages four and eight, were found in their London home yesterday. Authorities are currently seeking Blake's partner, Arthur Simpson-Kent, in connection with the deaths. The BBC reports that Simpson-Kent may have fled to Ghana since Blake and her children were reported missing on December 16.

U.K. authorities are treating the case as a triple homicide, given the nature of the injuries sustained by the victims, and that "significant attempts had been made to conceal the bodies."

Blake voiced Yugiri Mistwalker, a character first encountered in Patch 2.2: Through the Maelstrom, though the character was voiced by Paulette Ivory at that time. Sian Blake formally assumed the role in Final Fantasy XIV's first expansion, Heavensward.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Blake's family during this incredibly difficult time.
