Square Enix announced three versions of Final Fantasy XV at their Los Angeles event earlier this week. The standard edition of the game will retail for $59.99 while the deluxe edition weighs in at $89.99. At $269, the Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Edition is one of the most expensive bundles ever released by Square Enix. Limited to 30,000 units worldwide, and despite the high price tag, the bundle has already sold out at the Square Enix Online Store. The official product description:

Available exclusively from the Square Enix Online Store, the Ultimate Collector's Edition includes all Deluxe Edition content plus an additional exclusive two-disc steelbook containing the official Blu-ray Disc Music (featuring music from FINAL FANTASY XV, KINGSGLAIVE and BROTHERHOOD) and the BROTHERHOOD Blu-ray (containing an exclusive sixth episode). Also includes a PLAY ARTS -KAI- Noctis action figure with Ultimate Edition-exclusive weapon.

The collector's edition also includes an art book and the CGI film KINGSGLAIVE. The steelbook case for Final Fantasy XV features Yoshitaka Amano's 'big bang' art piece which was also revealed at the event. As high as the price tag is, the collector's edition is a fitting celebration of the release of a game a decade in the making. Final Fantasy XV releases worldwide for PS4 and Xbox One on September 30, 2016.
