Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy X-2 will ship to North American retailers on November 18, 2003. This is weeks earlier than the previously estimated release in December.

Square Enix has also mentioned that Final Fantasy X-2 will be supported by one of the largest television advertising campaigns to date for the series. The TV spots will begin December 1, 2003 on various time slots on target network, cable and syndicated programming such as Comedy Central, MTV, Spike TV, WWE and UPN (Smackdown). SQEX also plans to reach millions of gamers over the course of three months (November to January) via printed materials including this month's issue of the Official US PlayStation magazine. The issue includes a demo of the game, the Eternal Calm Epilogue video, an in-depth look at the game, and much more.
