Final Fantasy X-2 took home the second place in the Game division of the Yahoo! Entertainment Awards 2003! Suprisingly, it was the only RPG to be in the top 5, which makes it a lot more appreciating for anyone who is a fan of FFX-2.
Yahoo! Entertainment Awards is spreaded throughout 6 categories. Starting from Music to Movie, TV, Game, Comic and Overall divisions. The placings are bases around how many searches were subjected to these contents through out the year using the Yahoo! search engine. Then, the users of Yahoo! were allowed to have their own say and vote for their most favourites, contributing to the placings results.
Users who voted for FFX-2 commented, "The storyline was amazing, and the concert in Thunder Plains brought tears to my eyes."
First place, however, was taken by the ever popular soccer game "World Soccer Winning Eleven 7". This game seemed to have appealed more to the general Japanese gamers as they commented, "This is the ultimate soccer game!". Dynasty Warriors 3 came third followed by, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyu in fourth and Taiko No Tatsujin Appare 3dai Me in fifth.
