IGN.com was able to get their hands on four new screenshots from Square Enix's upcoming sequel to the original Full Alchemist game for the PlayStation 2. This new game supports a more cell-shaded look that brings it closer to the anime/manga from which it came.

Apparently the same people who worked on the original game will return for the sequel thus confirming that it will still carry the good production values of the first. Also, a new character is being introduced in the game who will be designed by none other than the main character designer Arakawa Hiroshi.

Square Enix announced the release date for Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir. The role-playing game will hit shelves July 12 for the PlayStation 2.
