Final Fantasy XIV's momentum refuses to slow. Naoki Yoshida and his team have attracted the attention of almost 2 million active subscribes but they aren't stopping there. Since the release of patch 2.1, A Realm Awoken, back in December, Yoshida and the development team turned their attention to the upcoming patch 2.2
The 8 minute trailer for the patch showcases the newest additional content which is pretty enticing. Among smaller features like gardening and hairstyles are bigger ticket items like new dungeons, bosses, and main scenario quests. A definitive date for patch 2.2's release hasn't been officially set but is expected later this month.
