Square Enix registers four new trademarks

Square Enix has applied for registration of four new trademarks at the Japan Patent Office in August. Among them are PlayOnline Plus, Friend List Plus, Character Name Address as well as Choubukyou Taisen. While the first three are obviously related to the company's internet service platform PlayOnline, Choubukyou Taisen is a MMORPG which has already been released in mainland China....

Square Enix has announced that two of its most famous games, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, are coming to cellular phones. Square Enix has received 300,000 pre-orders for its TV toy Kenshin Dragon Quest, which will be released in Japan tomorrow. The game's development team featured Dragon Quest veterans Yuji Horii, Akira Toriyama and Kouichi Sugiyama. Square Enix has announced plans to release Front Mission 1st for the PlayStation One. The new game will be a remake of the original Super Famicom title featuring an additional scenario.
