Takeharu Ishimoto isn’t as widely known as, say, Nobuo Uematsu or Yoko Shimomoura but in just as few short years his impact has been felt across Square Enix’s games. Ishimoto scored The World Ends with You, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Last Order, the Dissidia games, and Type-0; making him one of Square’s most accomplished composers.

For North American fans, the announcement of the otherwise glowing Collector’s Edition of Type-0 HD came with just one sore spot: the compilation would should with a “soundtrack selection” of the game’s music rather than the comprehensive album.

New for 2015, however, is the FINAL FANTASY® TYPE-0 HD Original Soundtrack Blu-ray music disc. Retailing for $59.99, the soundtrack boasts new and rerecorded music from Type-0 HD. Included on the disc are interviews with director Tabata and composer Ishimoto, with trailers and unreleased footage.

Keep in mind that the disc requires a bluray player but, by utilizing one, listeners will be able to digitally download the soundtrack. FINAL FANTASY® TYPE-0 HD Original Soundtrack is expected to ship in April.
