Square Enix recently announced that they are going to release a cell phone MMO titled Ellark in Japan. Ellark will be hosted by three of Japan's major mobile operators. While the game will be free for users to download and play, Ellark will feature micro transactions using Square Enix's new "Mobicoin" currency, virtual tokens purchasable with a credit card.

The latest issue of the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu reveals some new Infinite Undiscovery characters. They also said that the official Japanese website will open sometime tomorrow. Square's Nintendo DS title The World Ends With You was released in Europe yesterday. Overall the game has been well received among video game critics (Edge: 8/10, EGM: A-/A-/B, Famitsu: 35/40, Game Informer: 8.25/10, GamePro: 9/10, IGN: 9/10 and finally Nintendo Power: 9.0/10). The game is set for a North American release next week on Tuesday the 22nd April.

Square Enix recently sent out a press release saying that Final Fantasy IV DS will be released in North America on July the 22nd 2008.
