Square Enix recently announced that they are going to release a cell phone MMO titled Ellark in Japan. Ellark will be hosted by three of Japan's major mobile operators. While the game will be free for users to download and play, Ellark will feature micro transactions using Square Enix's new "Mobicoin" currency, virtual tokens purchasable with a credit card.

Square Enix has launched a new and improved version of their Japanese website. The site still uses the same black, white and gray colour scheme but it looks a lot better then before.
