Square Enix has announced that they'll be releasing the sequel to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy in Europe and North America exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS system. The game will feature over 200 tracks and more than 60 playable characters, with audio taken from the entire Final Fantasy series (including Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn). There are also two new game modes not seen in the previous game. In Quest Medley you alternate between Field Music Sequences and Battle Music Sequences, while in the Versus BMS mode you can compete against your friends directly. There’s also a new feature, called Collecta Crystarium – when you clear songs and win battles, you’ll obtain CollectaCards to boost your character stats. The Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call release date has not been announced yet. All we know so far is that it is coming out sometime later this year.
