We've been starved of all things Final Fantasy XIII, but thanks to a few individuals who have sold themselves into the dark underworld of Japanese gaming male prostitution (I'm looking at you, Xin), the world will sleep a little easier tonight. We've got two, count 'em, two new trailers for the masses this afternoon. One from the centerpiece Final Fantasy...

In case you've not yet noticed--Square's been blitzing the Tokyo Game Show, currently well underway in Japan. Today, they released trailers for all three of their XIII games. Noticeably absent from the PS3 entrant screenings at the Dread Fortress Azk--I mean, Closed Mega Theater, was any gameplay. That's right, the trailers were all cinematic. And since I'm personally very lazy,...

Yoichi Wada spoke, and it was thus: no Final Fantasy XIII this fiscal year, which ends in March 2008. Apparently, XIII "will take a bit more time," the big man commented. But then again, North America just had a mainline installment last year, which it's sequel due out later this year. Don't get greedy, world.

With intense speculation about Sony’s potential loss of Final Fantasy XIII exclusivity lessening in the past few weeks, Weekly Famitsu revived the debate with a poll to gauge cross-platform opinion. The Japanese magazine wanted to know which series readers thought should abandon the ranks of exclusivity, and while the speculation about Final Fantasy XIII’s fate had been rampant, the Final...

For those who are watching the continued evolution of Final Fantasy XIII with a skeptical eye, it is highly recommended that the following is read with a grain of salt. Or a metric ton; whichever is most readily available. Tetsuya Nomura revealed the name of the newest Final Fantasy XIII character, says Jeux France, which got a hold of an...

Here are some new tidbits of information gathered from scan translations regarding the three known entrants in the Fabula Nova Crystallis. The part about Shiva turning into a bike made me think they're reinventing elements like Advent Children's Fenrir, but see for yourself below. Final Fantasy XIII: * The new male character's name is related to weather, but not related...

Oh my...they're already running FFXIII PS3 ads in Japan, despite reports that the game is still in early stages of development thanks in no small part to the White Engine. It's being widely interpreted as a counter to Microsoft's trumpeting of Halo 3, which is still a few months away. Character Designer Tetsuya Nomura has stated that he hopes to...

Square's apparently not about to let it's centerpiece of the Fabula Nova Crystallis project be overshadowed by Versus, so a development video of an aerial city of sorts from Final Fantasy XIII has emerged on the web. Check it out here. +1 for Sifar :p

In a recent issue of Dengeki, FFXIII director Motomu Toriyama and FF Versus XIII director Tetsuya Nomura popped a squat to talk about the ongoing development of the two games respectively. Charts are in again this week for Famitsu, and FF13 is yet again reigning supreme. Such spectacular news brings to mind the question of whether the air is thin atop that high and mighty throne of #1 Most Wanted Game? Oh bother, do we really care? No! As long as FF13 doesn't take three years (which is most likely will...
